TAMPA SPARKS A LOCAL REVOLUTION: ECO.LUTION

2010 marks the third annual ECO.lution event in the city of Tampa. As a project of the Urban Charrette, ECO.lution is designed to connect community members, support a local economy and introduce sustainable practices into everyday life. Interactive events, concerts, cocktails and family activities bring a sense of fun to the Urban Charrette’s educational mission.

We believe that focusing on the benefits of a strong local economy, great public transit and a connected community will empower Tampa to be a sustainable city for generations. All event proceeds go to the non-profit organization, the Urban Charrette and the ECO.lution project.

Eco.lution consists of three events:

WHAT: Eco.expo - an architecture and interior design trade show featuring green and sustainable products.

WHERE: Ritz Ybor Theater in Ybor City

WHEN: Thursday March 25, 2010 5:00-9:00pm

WHAT: Eco.festival – features live music, local food, great wines as well as educational information and organizations focused on local sustainability issues that improve the quality of life for Tampa residents.

WHERE: Lykes Gaslight Park and the streets of Downtown Tampa

WHEN: Saturday March 27, 2010 11:00-6:00pm

WHAT: Paint the Town Green - a fun and inspiring local restaurant and bar hop utilizing Tampa’s public transit at locations in Downtown Tampa, Channel District and Ybor City.

WHERE: Official Kickoff Party is at Tre Amici @ the Bunker (1907 19th Street North, Ybor City)

WHEN: Friday April 2, 2010 5:00-11:00pm. Pick up Passports in advance at Tre Amici for $10 or two for $15 or online at www.ecolutiontampa.com.

Public Parking Downtown and Ybor City will be available for all events.
